AMAZON WILDLIFE TOUR

Sample Itinerary (Flexible and Customizable)

Day 1 – Departure from Iquitos and Arrival at the Camp

-Hotel pickup at 07:30 AM.

-Boat departure at 08:00 AM from Bellavista Nanay.

-Navigation along the Amazon and Tahuayo Rivers (approx. 4–5 hrs) with optional wildlife observation or short village stops.

-Arrival at the camp around 12:00–1:00 PM, check-in and lunch.

-Afternoon: introductory hike or boat ride to observe birds and monkeys.

-Evening: night walk or boat safari to spot caimans, frogs, and the nocturnal life of the rainforest.

Day 2 – Jungle Exploration and Wildlife Observation

-Early breakfast.

-Jungle hike to spot monkeys, tropical birds, and colorful poison dart frogs.

-Lunch at the camp.

-Afternoon: visit to nearby creeks or lakes for birdwatching or swimming.

-Evening: night navigation or an interpretive talk about Amazon wildlife.

Day 3 – River Adventure and Fishing

-Morning excursion to observe pink (Inia) and grey (Sotalia) river dolphins.The dolphins can be seen on the way there and back along the Amazon River.It depends on the season

-Traditional piranha or catfish fishing experience.

-Lunch and time to relax in hammocks.

-Afternoon canoe ride through flooded forest areas (depending on water level).

-Optional evening exploration or free time at the camp.

Day 4 – Birdwatching, Culture, and Return

-Early morning birdwatching (hoatzins, macaws, kingfishers).

-Cultural activity: visit to a local community or handicraft demonstration.

-Lunch at noon.

-Departure from the camp at 1:00 PM.

-Arrival in Iquitos between 4:00 and 6:00 PM, depending on weather and river conditions.

-Deep jungle camping inside the reserve.

-Night photography and specialized wildlife exploration.

-In case of heavy rain or storms, navigation may be postponed for safety reasons.

-It is recommended to arrive in Iquitos one day before the tour and schedule return flights one day after the tour ends.
