The tour begins at 8:00 AM from your place of accommodation. We will head south of Punta Arenas to visit Fort Bulnes, the first Chilean settlement in the Strait of Magellan.
Before reaching the entrance gate, we will make a brief stop at the geographical landmark marking the midpoint of Chile. Upon arrival at Fort Bulnes, we will begin our tour through the various historical structures. Afterwards, we will visit the museum, which features extensive information on geology, historical figures, and the local flora and fauna.
We will then return to Punta Arenas, where there will be a 1.5-hour break for lunch (meal not included). The restaurant is at the passenger’s discretion.
Following lunch, we will begin the city tour, starting at the Cerro de la Cruz viewpoint, followed by a visit to the Muñoz Gamero main square. We will also visit the waterfront promenade, the municipal cemetery, and the Monument to the Shepherd (Monumento al Ovejero). The tour concludes with a visit to the Nao Victoria Museum, where we will explore life-size replicas of the vessels that navigated the Strait of Magellan: the Nao Victoria, the Beagle, and the Goleta Ancud.
The tour ends at approximately 6:30 PM.
